The C-CARD Scheme is a free condom distribution service for young people aged 13 – 25 living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Condoms by post

C-Card update 07/05/2020

As many C-Card outlets are currently closed or have restricted access in response to COVID-19, Brook is temporarily offering C-Card registration and condoms by post in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Please note: this scheme is only available to young people aged 13-25.

How does it work?

Brook have set up telephone consultation slots twice a week for those looking to order condoms by post:

  • Tuesdays 2pm - 4pm
  • Thursdays 10am - 12pm

The number to call is 07923 250346. Please do not call outside of the times above.

If you are already registered on the scheme, your C-Card number will be taken during the telephone consultation so please have it ready.

If you are not yet registered on the C-Card scheme then you will be registered during the telephone consultation. Alternatively, if you are over 16, you can register online using the link below.

Once the telephone consultation has been completed, condoms (and a C-Card for new registrations) will be sent out in a plain package via Royal Mail.

You will also receive an email with links to sexual health information and the Brook condom demo video.

What if I am under 16?

Young people aged 13-15 will be assessed under Fraser competency guidelines to make sure the scheme is suitable.

You will also be offered a phone catch-up with one of the Brook team every three weeks to check on your well-being during the social distancing restrictions.

How does it work?

If you are 13-25 and live in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, you can visit a C-CARD registration service or register online (16+) to get your free C-CARD.

Registration usually takes about 10 minutes. You will be asked a few simple questions - how old you are, your postcode etc - and the provider will confirm that you understand how to use condoms effectively. All the information is confidential and will not be passed on to anybody else.

Once you have you C-CARD, you can visit any C-CARD point to pick up free condoms.

Online registration

If you are 16 or over, you have the option to register for the C-Card scheme online.

To register online, all you need to do is complete a short form with your details. We will then email you with the information you need to complete your registration which will then allow you to pick up free condoms at any C-Card outlet.

All information is confidential and we will not store your email address, it will be deleted as soon as your registration is complete.

COVID-19 C-Card Accessibility Update 07/05/2020:

If you decide to visit a C-Card outlet, please contact them to check to see if they are still operational and providing C-Card services before leaving the house. Please continue to follow government guidelines on staying safe and staying at home wherever possible.

Alternatively, you can use the new postal service (details above).

I already have a C-CARD - do I need to get a new one?

No - you will still be able to use your current C-CARD at a variety of organisations to get free condoms.

I've lost my C-Card - what should I do?

If you have lost your C-CARD you can visit a registration service and re-register for a new C-CARD.

Where can I get a C-CARD?

You will need to visit a service that offers C-CARD registration or, if you are 16 or over, you can register online.

Please note: this scheme is only for people aged 13-25 in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
